Chicken McCrispy is a product of McDonald's Singapore, originally introduced in 1998 and re-introduced in 2021, It is served with 2pcs Fried Chicken (1 thigh and 1 drumstick). Battered in tempura, seasoning and spices. It has a very different flavor compared to Chicken McDo available in the some countries started in Philippines.
At launch, it used to have a Mild Spice flavor but later removed. It was released to compete with other fast-food restaurant like KFC & Jollibee. Since then, Chicken McCrispy is spread in some countries, Including Puerto Rico, Panama, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Columbia, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, Pakistan, and Nicaragua.

Spicy Sauce with "Flash Fry" and "Steam Marinate"
The Chicken McCrispy was introduced in 1998 as a permanent itemto the menu. It's was "inspired" from the Philippines because fried chicken at McDonald's is already a thing with Chicken McDo that was introduced in 1986. The creation of Chicken McCrispy is to compete with KFC to try and gain in a fried chicken market[1]. It was originally serve with its own spicy sauce and they have they're own mascot called "Flash Fry" and "Steam Marinate". They're represent on how they cooked their chicken, staring from Steam Marination to Deep Fry until they look crispy.[2]
It was discontinued in 2002, 6 years later after its introduction. Speculated that it was discontinued to replace it with the McWings.[2]
In November 03, 2020, 18 years later, they re-introduce it again as a "limited time" in selected stores[3]. People have to wait for a while before they've serve it to them since they're cooking it freshly back in 2020. In July of 2021, they've officially turn it into a permanent addition to the menu. It was speculated that they didn't use steam marination and instead they just marinated them.
At launch, the new Chicken McCrispy is different compared to the 1998-2002. It had a "mild spicy" flavor in the chicken according to McDonald's Singapore.
