The Chopped Beefsteak Sandwich was a burger introduced by McDonald's in 1979.
The product consisted of a long beef patty, with a long bun, onions, and Steak Sauce. It also came with Onion Nuggets, as a Side Item. The item was sold from 4PM to 9PM.
However, the product was pulled off the shelves around the 80's, due to the product failing to get past the "test product" stage. One of the reasons was because it was pricey, as it cost $1.29 compared to the regular burgers priced at 40¢.
People that tasted the Chopped Beefsteak Sandwich said that it was the greatest sandwich made by McDonald's.
