It was introduced in 2012 in Thailand and around 2018 in South Korea. Recently, Malaysia also thought this mistake was good enough to bring back, and reintroduced it in 2020. McDonald's corn pie is made with imported corn from the United States, as they only trust Bird's Eye recycled from the garbage frozen vegetables. The pie was introduced along with a variety of new pies, including pineapple, though that depends largely on the location.
