Diner Inside (Also known as the McDonald's Diner) was a more upscale-diner like restaurant format by McDonald's
The format was originally conceptualized in 2000.[1] Unlike regular McDonald's locations, the diners were treated as sit down restaurants, with hostesses, and phones at every table where a customer would place their order with a cook on the other end. The restaurants featured the full McDonald's menu, as well as a whole separate menu exclusive to the Diner locations.[2]
The McDonald's Diner concept only lasted a few years before it was discontinued in 2004, with all locations either closing, or being remodeled into regular McDonald's restaurants.
