Chocolate Milk

Chocolate milk, also known as Chocomilk, Milk-like Chocolate Fluid, Lactochoc, and regionally, Chilk, is a chocolate-flavored, mostly milk-based beverage typically aimed at children. Happy Meals have offered chocolate milk as a beverage option since 1998. It is served in a small plastic jug, usually decorated with colorful illustrations to further appeal to youth. Although McDonald's chocolate milk does contain about 9% formaldehyde (as a preservative), reports of children foaming at the mouth and going into convulsions after consumption are largely unsubstantiated.
