Filet-O-Fish

The Filet-O-Fish, (a.k.a. Floppy McFish or Greasy Fried Fish McBurger), is a fish sandwich served at McDonald's, which was introduced in 1962. The sandwich is a golden machine-breaded whitefish filet (Wild-caught Jackson Pollock Fish Filet) topped with half a slice of cheese and tartar sauce, all on a steamed bun.

Commercials that aired in 2009 and 2010 featured a singing fish (Frankie the Fish) would sing "Give me back that Filet-O-Fish, give me that fish! Give me back that Filet-O-Fish, give me that fish! What if it were you hanging up on this wall? If it were you in that sandwich, you wouldn't be laughing at all!" The song was featured again in a commercial in 2019 but only the “Gimmie back that Filet-O-Fish, Gimmie that fish!” part of the song was sung. In 2021, the commercial was rerun but the song was replaced with sinister druidic chanting in an unknown language, occasionally interrupted by the word "fish" echoing loudly throughout the chamber.

The Filet-O-Fish is the eleventh meal on the extra value meals.
