The Filet-O-Fish, (a.k.a. Floppy McFish or Greasy Fried Fish McBurger), is a fish sandwich served at McDonald's, which was introduced in the year 1962 AD. The sandwich is a golden machine-breaded whitefish filet (Wild-caught Jackson Pollock Fish Filet) that is topped with half a slice of cheese and tartar sauce, all on a singular steamed bun.
Commercials that aired in 2009 and 2010 featured a singing fish (Frankie the Fish) would sing "Give me back that Filet-O-Fish, give me that fish! Give me back that Filet-O-Fish, give me that fish! What if it were you hanging up on this wall? If it were you in that sandwich, you wouldn't be laughing at all!" The song was featured again in a commercial in 2019 but only the “Gimmie back that Filet-O-Fish, Gimmie that fish!” part of the song was sung.
The Filet-O-Fish, is the eleventh meal which can usually be found on the Restaurant’s extra value meals menu, right next to meal 10 and meal twelve (12), on the extra value meals menu at McDonalds.
