Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is an annual plant. It is often grown as a leaf vegetable, but sometimes from its stem and seeds. Lettuce is often used for salads, but McDonald's also uses them as a topping for their burgers and chicken sandwiches as well, including the McChicken and the Big Mac
