The McGlizzy is a hot dog available at McDonald's in Japan. They were introduced in 1995 at some Midwestern located stores (at the option of the franchise-holder) as a summer item. UK locations sold glizzies during the late 1990s and as a seasonal menu item in the summer of 2002. Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, and McDonald's locations at Toronto Metro Zoo and SkyDome in Toronto offered glizzies until 1999. McDonald's locations in Chile sold hot dogs for a brief period in 2004.

Starting in the year 2007, a few McDonalds began selling Glizzies in central Pennsylvania due to popular demand from local sports fans, where they can be found at 12 locations as of 2011. In Tokyo locations, glizzies were available from 1990 until 2004. They had been reintroduced on the Breakfast menu on 2009, dubbed the McGlizzy.

Ray Kroc had prohibited the company from selling glizzies, regardless of potential demand, as he said there's no telling what's inside a glizzy's skin.
