The McMici was a limited-edition burger sold in McDonald's Romania in 2016. It was inspired by mici (also known as mititei), a popular Romanian grilled minced meat dish. The burger featured:
- A grilled beef-and-pork patty seasoned with traditional Romanian spices
- Served in a soft bun
- Topped with mustard and onions
The McMici was introduced as part of McDonald's Romania’s 2016 promotional campaign celebrating Romania’s national cuisine. It was widely advertised on television and social media, and its launch coincided with Romania’s National Day celebrations. The burger was available for a limited time and became a favorite among Romanian customers due to its unique blend of fast food and traditional flavors. However, despite its popularity, it was discontinued after the promotional period.
In 2025, the McMici is back from 5 June to 23 July.
