Introduced in 2001 as a response to Burger King's Big Kids Meal, the Mighty Kids Meal was a variant of the Happy Meal. It was designed for children who had outgrown the traditional Happy Meal, but weren't yet ready to order a traditional combo. Customers were able to choose either a McDouble or a six-count Chicken McNuggets as their entree, french fries or Go-Gurt Strawberry Yogurt as a side, and a drink. The meal also included a toy.
The Mighty Kids Meal, while similar to the traditional Happy Meal, included two an additional nuggets (4-piece McNuggets v. 6-piece) for the chicken McNuggets option, and featured a McDouble instead of the Happy Meal's traditional cheeseburger.[1]
