The McNugget Buddies are a line of Happy Meal toy adaptations of Chicken McNuggets (characters) . They 1st came into happy meals in 1988. Followed by new sets in 1992, 1994, and 1996. But then they disappeared for awhile until the firefighter came back in The 40th anniversary happy meal set in 2019. In 2023, it was announced that the mcnugget buddies would come back in a brand new, limited edition meal that came out on December 11, showcasing 6 new characters. Including a golden one named McNugget Legend.
